DESCRIPTION:Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Daniele McKay for a hike along the Summit Loop Trail at Smith Rock State Park. This gorgeous loop follows the Burma Road up to a ridge overlooking famed crags like Monkey Face. On the descent\, the Summit Loop trail crosses a private property 9 protected by the Land Trust before joining the Park’s river trail. Learn about how this dramatic area was formed by the forces of volcanoes and water while taking in sweeping views of the\nCascade crest. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.
