DESCRIPTION:Since the 1980s\, LandWatch has led the charge to protect the Metolius Basin’s ancient forests\, magical springs\, bull trout\, and deer and elk habitat. \nOn the Magical History Tour\, Executive Director Paul Dewey will take tour attendees to beautiful places like Jack’s Creek and Sheep Springs\, and show us parts of the forest that only exist today because of his work to stop them from being clear cut. He’ll tell the story of how the Metolius came to be protected as an Area of Critical State Concern. \nEasy – a few short hikes\nPlease bring a bag lunch \nEmail Moey@centraloregonlandwatch.org to sign up.
