Recycle at Home
Information about recycling for residents in Central Oregon.
Recycling is the institutionalized way to reuse natural resources and has been a mainstay of zero waste practices. Simply put, recycling is a no-brainer.
What happens to our recycling once it is picked up from our house? YES, it really does get recycled. The commingled recycling that is picked up gets baled up, then sent to a Materials Recovery Facility where everything gets sorted and then sent to the appropriate place to be recycled.
The easiest way to recycle is to have it picked up from your house. Easy! Depending on where you live, your garbage collector will pick up your commingled recycling.
