PaintCare LogoDon't throw away your unused paint!

Give your paint new life with PaintCare, a new program in Oregon that takes back paint for recycling and reuse.  Follow these steps for smart paint use and disposal:

  1. Buy the right amount.  Be a wise consumer and buy only what you need.  Check with your local paint dealer for instructions on how to determine the correct volume of paint required for your project.

  2. Store properly.  If you still have paint leftover, be sure to store it correctly.  For best results, cover the opening of the paint can with plastic wrap and securely seal the lid.  Avoid storing in an area with freezing temperatures.

  3. Reuse leftovers.  Use your leftover paint for touchups.

  4. Take to a PaintCare site for recycling and proper disposal.
