Zero Waste
Zero Waste is an important part of a sustainable community. Zero Waste includes reducing, reusing, recycling and composting.
Zero Waste does seem daunting, but we like to think of it as a direction, rather than an end point. Zero Waste means doing all of the things that we already do, but just a lot better It also includes the basics such as reducing, reusing, recycling and composting. Most importantly, Zero Waste aims to rethink the concept of “waste” in our community and work towards greater efficiency in everything we do.
The Environmental Center works with local government agencies, businesses, households, schools, and individuals to provide the tools and resources they need to become Zero Waste. We work to expand infrastructure, opportunities and behaviors that support zero waste practices.
Zero Waste is what we aim for. It’s the right thing to do, and the closer we get, the better! Join The Environmental Center to create a Zero Waste community!
