2012 Earth Day Fair and Parade

The Environmental Center will celebrate Earth Day by hosting its annual Earth Day Fair and Parade on Saturday, April 21st. The annual community event, now in its 23nd year, is a celebration of sustainable living that will include live music, local food, activities and games for children, non-profit organizations and green businesses.

The 2011 Sustainability Awards were announced today by The Environmental Center at a celebration at The Oxford Hotel in downtown Bend. The Environmental Center received 24 nominations and the winners were selected by a community review committee.

The Environmental Center is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Sustainability Awards. Nominations will be accepted through August 31st. Awards will be given to a citizen, business and organization (agency and nonprofit), that is leading the way to a sustainable future in Central Oregon.
