"The photos in the calendar represent my appreciation of the beauty of Central Oregon. I couldn't think of a better way for these images to be used than by being of service to an organization that seeks to preserve and improve our environment."
Central Oregon Calendar Photographer Stuart L Gordon was a writer for many years with McClatchy Newspapers in California. He dove into landscape and street photography after moving to Bend in 2002 with his family. He has studied with such renowned photographers as William Neill, Michael Frye, Rob Sheppard and Art Wolfe.
He's a member of the Bend Photographers Group and currently has images on exhibit with other local photographers at TechSpace in the Old Cigar Building, 906 NW Harriman St. in Bend. He recently published a book of his images taken during a return trip to the neighborhood where he grew up in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, and has been published in the photography collection Capture Central Oregon. He has a black belt in aikido, a Japanese martial art, and teaches at the non-profit Aikido of Bend.
