  • Go Native: Forgo the lawn altogether and save water in the desert by landscaping with native plants.

  • Clean Green:  Non-toxic household products keep your indoor environment healthy while ensuring ingredients break down over time once they get into our environment.

  • Buy Local:  Support our local economy, environment, and the people who live here when you choose local businesses who subscribe to the triple bottom line.

Drive Less:  Whether you walk to work, bike to the gym, carpool to social events or take the BAT or the CET to the mall, how you get around makes a big impact.

  • Energize Your Home: Get a free energy audit to help assess what your home needs; from CFL light bulbs to better insulation to energy efficient appliances, there are many ways to improve how our house (and what you have in it) uses energy.

  •  Buy Renewable:   Buy 100% renewable energy through Pacific Power's Blue Sky program or Central Electric's Green Power program.  For the price of a 6 pack a cheap beer, this has the single highest impact to reduce greenhouse gases.

  • Go Solar: From solar powered deck lights and phone chargers to hot water heaters and solar panels, there are options for every budget to harness the Central Oregon sun.
