Carter Niemeyer is the author of "Wolfer, A Memoir." Hear the fascinating story of Carter Niemeyer’s amazing career as a wolf trapper for Montana’s Animal Damage Control (now Wildlife Services) and his personal transformation over a lifetime to become wolf recovery expert.

In 2000 he became head of the Wolf Recovery program in Idaho for U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services, and since retiring in 2006 he’s been putting radio collars on wolves for the Idaho Dept. of Fish & Game. Find out how Mr. Niemeyer sees the role of wolves in Oregon and the West from his decades of keen observation.

Incidentally, the Oregon state legislature may consider several unfavorable wolf bills this session, and we’ll keep you updated on their status.

Mr. Niemeyer’s book will be available for sale.
