Wolves have returned to Central Oregon for the first time in more than half a century!
Learn more about these controversial mammals from John Stephenson, the US Fish & Wildlife biologist in charge of wolf recovery in Oregon. John will give an overview of wolf reintroduction efforts in the northern Rocky Mountains and Oregon. Then, he’ll touch upon the role wolves’ play in ecological systems.
See where the Oregon wolves are today—including the two long-distance wanderers from the Imnaha Pack who traveled from the Wallowas to Central Oregon and beyond.
