An untapped renewable energy source exists in the world’s oceans. It’s estimated that if 0.2% of the
oceans’ untapped energy was harnessed, it would provide power sufficient for the entire world. Ted Brekken, professor at Oregon State University in the College of Engineering and School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, will explore how ocean wave power can become a new, reliable and clean source of affordable renewable energy. Brekken will also explain how research at OSU can establish Oregon as a leader in the field of wave power.
Due to space, attendance limited to 100. Come at 5:30 PM for networking, food and drinks! Presentation starts at 6:00 PM.
RSVP is REQUIRED by 5:00pm Monday, January 17. Please send an email to: info@osucascades.edu.
