This two-day course addresses a growing area of appraisal and allows graduates to become one of the first Certified Residential Green Appraisers in Central Oregon.
Offered by Earth Advantage Institute, a nonprofit organization that works with the building industry to help implement sustainable building practices, the course is taught by Taylor Watkins of Watkins and Associates. He has presented this course both locally and nationally.
The course is approved for 14 hours of continuing education.
Appraisers who are not sure if a certification is right for them may register for the first day only to learn more about green building techniques.
A 2010 class member said “This class addresses what I see as a critical new area of real estate appraisal in a comprehensive and interesting manner. I am recommending the class to other appraisers.”
