As we approach the midpoint of the 2011 Legislative Session, land use policies have become one of the hottest issues in the capitol. They include:

  •  Multiple attempts to weaken land use planning;
  •  Limiting citizen access to the Land Use Board of Appeals;
  •  Easing permitting of industrial use for land already zoned industrial within urban growth boundaries;
  •  Greater clarity on the type and scale of events allowed on exclusive farm use properties;
  •  Destination Resort Reform.

Join 1000 Friends Executive Director Jason Miner, Staff Attorney Steve McCoy, and Central Oregon Advocate Pam Hardy for an informative conversation about the session and how you can help protect Oregon's landscape.
