As we approach the midpoint of the 2011 Legislative Session, land use policies have become one of the hottest issues in the capitol. They include:
- Multiple attempts to weaken land use planning;
- Limiting citizen access to the Land Use Board of Appeals;
- Easing permitting of industrial use for land already zoned industrial within urban growth boundaries;
- Greater clarity on the type and scale of events allowed on exclusive farm use properties;
- Destination Resort Reform.
