Nicole Baumann
Membership and Outreach Coordinator

Nicole joined us in 2005 and manages our membership program, coordinates outreach efforts and plans our annual Telluride Mountainfilm on Tour event. She has a BA from Colorado State University and over ten years of local non-profit experience in fundraising, event planning, and outreach since becoming a Bend resident in 2000. Her favorite places to be are on her yoga mat, at a music festival or traveling in another country.
Sweet Pea Cole
Sweet Pea is our newest staff member at The Environmental Center and is responsible for managing The Green Spot program, planning the annual Sustainability Awards and organizing monthly Green Drinks events. She has a BA from the University of Wyoming and has been an active member of the volunteer and arts communities in Bend since 1999. She is an avid bicycle commuter and you may also bump into her skiing or out on the trails.
Molly Grove
Molly is a Bend native who joined The Environmental Center in 2011 as the Sustainable Schools Coordinator. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Montana State University and a Master’s degree in Teacher Education from Eastern Oregon University. Molly teaches science part-time at Cascade Middle School. Her favorite hobbies are backcountry and Nordic skiing, mountain biking, and playing the mandolin.

Mike joined The Environmental Center in July 2008. He has 30 years of experience with environmental, community radio and health care nonprofit organizations. He has a B.S in environmental science from the University of Washington. Mike is married, has two young boys, and works hard to balance family, work, outdoor fun and community involvement.
Denise Rowcroft

Denise joined The Environmental Center in 2006 and is responsible for our Learning Garden, Zero Waste program and volunteer coordination. She has 10 years of experience working with youth in wilderness and therapeutic settings and a B.A. in Outdoor Education from Prescott College. If she's not running her dog, she's probably floating, biking, gathering, skiing, hammocking, or creating art and jewelry from found and recycled materials at Lost and Found Art.

Kim joined The Environmental Center in 2009. She has extensive experience in retail customer service and office management and is enjoying learning all she can about nonprofit bookkeeping. When not at work, Kim cares for her mother, plays with her grandkids and crafts, crafts and crafts some more.

Jackie joined The Environmental Center in 2007 and leads our EarthSmart and Outdoor Education programs. She has a Masters in Sustainability Education from Antioch New England, a BA in Biology from St. John Fisher College and has been working with youth for the past ten years. Her work weaves together her passion and experience for the natural world, education and environmental stewardship.
