EDUCATING TOMORROWS LEADERS

EarthSmart offers free environmental education programs to K-12 schools, community groups and other youth organizations in Central Oregon.

The Central Oregon Environmental Center
believes that educating youth is important to ensuring a healthy future.  Kids are inquisitive, creative, and caring and have the ability to make informed decisions whether it's about reusing paper or conserving energy. By providing various resources for educators, the EarthSmart program helps educate youth about how their lives can impact our environment and our community.

Students actively participate in their recycling programs
at High Lakes Elementary School in Bend.

The EarthSmart program is supported by a variety of community and government agencies and businesses:
Bank of the Cascades
Bend Garbage & Recycling
Cascade Disposal
Deschutes County Solid Waste Department
High Country Disposal
Knife River
Madras Sanitary Service
Mill Quarter Properties
